We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Staff Development / IP to join our skilled nursing facility team. The ideal Staff Development/IP will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of care through staff education and infection control initiatives. The Staff Development / IP position requires an RN certification and a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.

Job Qualifications:
- Current RN licensure in MA is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting.
- Previous experience in staff development, education, or infection prevention is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of infection control practices and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in using electronic health records and other relevant technology.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Staff Development:
- Design, implement, and evaluate educational programs for nursing and ancillary staff.
- Conduct regular training sessions on clinical best practices, regulatory compliance, and resident care standards.
- Assess staff training needs and create individualized development plans.
- Mentor and support new staff during orientation and throughout their employment.
Infection Prevention:
- Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and surveillance of infection control practices.
- Analyze infection data and trends, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Educate staff on infection prevention practices, including hand hygiene, PPE usage, and isolation protocols.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations related to staff development and infection control.
- Prepare for and participate in surveys and inspections, addressing any deficiencies identified.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of staff training and infection control activities.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with nursing leadership to promote a culture of continuous improvement in care delivery.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident outcomes and safety.
- Communicate effectively with staff, residents, and families regarding infection control measures and educational initiatives.
