Baskin-Robbins (B-R) creates and markets innovative, premium ice cream, specialty frozen desserts and beverages, providing quality and value to consumers at more than 6,700 retail shops in nearly 50 countries.
This position will be supporting Baskin-Robbins Canada. This role will support all stakeholders in supplying products to the Canada market by managing supplier relationships, acting as the key contact for specific B-R product categories in the Canada market, and compiling and communicating relevant information between suppliers, distributors, franchisees and the B-R Canada Field Team to insure an uninterrupted source of supply. This position also manages data from suppliers and distributors, reviews demand, validates pricing accuracy, maintains franchisee ordering portal accuracy, and actively communicates availability status for all items supplied to the market. B-R partners with a number of third-party suppliers to support ice cream manufacturing and distribution of frozen and dry goods. Franchisees utilize an Oracle-based online ordering portal that is maintained by Inspire Brands to order all frozen goods (ice cream and non ice cream products).
This is a Remote position. The ideal candidate will sit on the East Coast.
Responsibilities
Continuity of Supply
- Report weekly sales, lead inventory and production management calls with ice cream manufacturer (Distribution overview report sent to ice cream manufacturer weekly)
- Weekly review of non ice cream frozen inventories at frozen goods distributor, with new orders placed as needed
Communications
- Update messaging on frozen goods ordering portal as-needed
- Weekly in-stock/out-stock reporting of frozen goods including LTO availability and discontinued items run-out timing
- Manage supply chain content for bi-weekly franchisee communication
Participate in month-end financial close process
- Verify with ice cream distributor to confirm all PO’s have been received
- Close-out any remaining sales orders to ice cream manufacturer
- Run internal reports to validate no anomalies
- Inform team that Canada has been closed-out
Oracle System Management
- Place purchase orders for ice cream and other frozen items
- Post relevant item availability messaging to frozen goods ordering portal for Canada franchisees
- Add new items/suppliers, new item activation, discontinued item de-activation to the system
- Troubleshoot franchisee orders
- Store transfer system maintenance
- Ad-hoc sales and inventory reporting
Obsolescence Management
- Conduct monthly call with Canada ice cream manufacturer to review LTO raw material exposure
- Conduct monthly call with ice cream/frozen goods distributor to review inventory exposure for permanent items, LTO’s and other frozen items
- Conduct monthly call with dry goods distributor to review inventory exposure
- Code and process invoices to suppliers for agreed upon obsolescence
Product Calendar Management
- Collaborate with marketing to support Limited Time Offerings on both ice cream and non-ice cream items
- Maintain shared ingredient tracker with ice cream manufacturer for limited time ice cream flavors
- Maintain communication and alignment with 4 Franchisee Advisory Council members
Education & Experience Qualifications
- 4-Year degree in Business (Supply Chain Management is a plus)
- 1-2+ years’ experience with food/beverage product supply chain support
- 1 year of experience in documentation management
- 1 year of experience in management of vendor/supplier relationships
- Minimum knowledge of food manufacturing techniques and equipment use
- Working knowledge of SAP, Concur, Arriba, or other procurement and inventory management systems. Specific knowledge of Oracle procurement a plus

- This position will require a med-high level of decision making and be able to make a significant level of decisions without supervisor approval
