We are seeking an accomplished and strategic
Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead operational excellence for our client, a dynamic and innovative manufacturing company. As the COO, you will oversee day-to-day operations, streamline processes, and drive performance across multiple facilities. This is a remote position with periodic travel to manufacturing sites in the Boston/New England area.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize daily operations, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives and growth goals.
- Develop and execute operational strategies to increase efficiency, profitability, and scalability.
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Implement lean manufacturing practices and operational best practices to drive efficiency and cost savings.
- Collaborate with the CFO to manage budgets, forecast operational costs, and ensure financial sustainability.
- Ensure all production and operational processes adhere to industry quality standards and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee procurement, logistics, and inventory management to maintain uninterrupted operations.
- Leverage technology and innovation to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates to the CEO and Board of Directors on operational performance and strategic initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of senior leadership experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record of driving operational efficiency and scaling manufacturing operations.
- Expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and P&L.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote environment and manage geographically dispersed teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in managing multi-site manufacturing operations.
- Familiarity with advanced manufacturing technologies and Industry 4.0 principles.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality management systems.
