Reporting to NESN’s Manager of Short Form Content, the Original Content intern will make contributions to producing and distributing sponsored and original video content on NESN’s digital platforms. This person will play a key role in versioning and optimizing studio, podcast and original content for NESN’s YouTube, website and DTC app. Additionally, she/he will have the opportunity to assist on remote productions for NESN’s original content team to gain meaningful field-production experience.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Support key tasks and projects within the Short Form Original Content team
- Record, clip, edit and post non-sponsored, game-related content for Bruins, Red Sox and Boston Fleet games, including game highlights, pregame and postgame sound and player interviews.
- Version and optimize NESN studio, podcast and original content for YouTube and social media platforms
- Assist with various production tasks on remote shoots for the Original Content team
Required Qualifications
- Completing a BA/BS degree in Media Arts, production. Journalism, Broadcasting, or other related degrees
- 0-2 years of experience from a previous internship, coursework, or through a student organization.
- Strong interest in video production and digital content creation; ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop
- Experience or interest in learning After Effects a plus
- Strong knowledge of New England sports, specifically NESN’s partner teams: Boston Bruins and Red Sox
- Ability to work around team/game schedules: some evening and weekend hours are an expectation of the role
- Enthusiasm for learning and commitment to career development
- Ability to work independently while also adopting a collaborative approach to achieving results.
Preferred Qualifications
- DSLR videography/photography, WordPress experience a plus, Adobe After Effects/ Illustrator experience is a plus.
