The Client

They are a fast-growing tech group, delivering innovative, automated solutions that improve safety, efficiency, and compliance for public sector organisations. Backed by private equity and with ambitious growth plans, the company are seeking a strategic, hands-on Vice President of Operations to lead their next phase of scale.


The Opportunity


As VP of Operations, you will be a critical member of the senior leadership team, responsible for scaling the organisation from 10 to 50+ people, while ensuring exceptional project delivery, operational excellence, and strong team development. Reporting directly to the Founder and collaborating with the parent company, you’ll lead efforts to build world-class systems and processes that support rapid, sustainable growth.


Key Responsibilities


  • Drive and execute a scalable operations strategy aligned with business growth objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Implement best practices and KPIs across project management, customer success, and process optimization.
  • Build, develop, and inspire a high-performing operations team.
  • Champion operational improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Ensure operational readiness, budget alignment, and resource allocation as the company grows.
  • Act as a key voice in strategic decision-making at both the local and group level.


What We’re Looking For


  • 10+ years of operational leadership experience, ideally within tech-enabled or solution-focused businesses.
  • Proven success scaling fast-growth businesses, especially in the 10–100 employee range.
  • Deep knowledge of process improvement, project execution, and operational excellence.
  • A strong leader with experience managing change, optimizing teams, and delivering results.
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on problem-solving skills and a passion for building efficient systems.
  • Experience within hardware/software environments and public sector customers is a strong plus.
