Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance to patients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting and transfer techniques
- Administer medications and assist with medication management under the guidance of a healthcare professional
- Monitor and report any changes in patients' physical or emotional condition to the healthcare team
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition and hydration
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
- Help with light household chores and errands as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Follow all company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations
- Attend training and education programs to improve skills and knowledge
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a caregiver or in a healthcare setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities
- Must be able to lift and transfer patients safely
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed
