Thermacell currently employs 125+ full time employees at our 4 locations: Bedford Massachusetts (Corporate HQ), Buford Georgia (Manufacturing & Distribution), and Hampton Florida (Science & Research Center).
Role Purpose

With strong distribution across multiple retail channels globally, we have a successful and expanding product line that provides solutions for both the outdoor adventure and outdoor living/patio consumers rooted in disruptive innovation and a dedication to delivering the best consumer experience.
The Product Innovation Manager will be part of a fast-paced, passionate, creative and highly innovative team committed to continually improving existing products, bringing new products and technologies to market, and thrilling our consumers. This individual will assume critical product management responsibilities supporting the team and/or be responsible for portions of the Thermacell portfolio. This individual will also support the commercialization efforts of new and existing products and programs, ensuring preparedness for retail selling seasons, coordinating cross-functional launch/transition activities, and managing the execution of product initiatives.
This role reports directly to the Executive Director, Global Insights and Innovation
STATUS: Exempt
WORKING HOURS: Typically, between 8-5pm M-F (open to some flexibility)

Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- The Product Innovation Manager is responsible for the business management of a product or line of products and its commercial success during the end-to-end lifecycle from inception to launch and beyond.
- Translate business strategy into product strategy including product renovation and new product innovation activity.
- Assists in development of the product roadmap which also includes product sunsets.
- Execute product strategy prioritizing features and benefits that optimize the consumer experience and consumption and/or support business improvement.
- Ensure product strategy supports global roll-out potential and harmonization where possible.
- Drive action throughout the organization to get products to market working cross functionally with engineering, science, insights, project management, sales and brand.
- Work with Insights to validate concepts and product usage experience along the development journey.
- Plan and carry out product launches including all product documentation and logistics.
- Manage product profitability and commercial success – own the business case and initial forecast.
- Provide insight to stakeholders on the product and market.
- Provide brand marketing with insights on key differentiators and messages and claims support.
- Support the Product Owner and Brand Marketer with any questions they may have.
- Manage all aspects of in-life products, including customer feedback, requirements, and issues.

Compensation
Compensation for this position will include a competitive base salary and an
Annual Target Bonus program-details proved separately. Benefits for this position will consist of vacation benefits at a competitive level & 11 paid company holidays. Additionally, a company shut-down period is offered for one week between Christmas and New Year’s Day.

You may start contributing to our 401k after completing 30 days of service (enrolling on the first of the following month). You will be eligible for the employer match up to
4% (base salary + overtime wages - subject to the IRS (Internal Revenue Service) legal limit) after completing one year of service.

Requirements
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience, product management/development or relevant experience in a consumer product environment preferred
- Strong analytic capability with history of taking data and translating into insights and effective story-telling; high proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint are a must
- Project management skills with demonstrated ability to lead others in cross-functional efforts
- Hands-on experience coordinating consumer/shopper research preferred
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; effective in building and managing relationships both internally and externally
- Willing to travel domestically as needed (approximately 5-10% of time)
