Job Description
The Town of Brewster currently seeks an organized and detail oriented administrative professional for the position of Executive Assistant to the Town Manager's Office. This position is responsible for providing a wide range of administrative, technical, and clerical support services to the Select Board, Town Manager, and Assistant Town Manager and serves as the primary contact for public inquires and requests for information.
Duties include but are not limited to; monitor & process department attendance & payroll, accounts payable & receivable, and lease payments consistent with budget appropriations. Oversees operation of mail-in permit program and seasonal permit sales office including hiring, training, and scheduling of seasonal staff. Posts meeting notices, prepares agendas and distributes meeting materials to Select Board and ensures compliance with Open Meeting Law, and produces meeting minutes for Board meetings.
Associates Degree and a minimum of five years of administrative or business experience required, and one year supervisory experience, municipal experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. This is a full-time, 40 hour a week position, covered under the Town’s Personnel Bylaw agreement, with a starting pay range of $32.95 - $37.09 per hour. Excellent benefits package includes paid time off, health insurance, and pension.
