Position Summary
Cambrian College’s Testing Centre has an immediate requirement for part-time Test Proctors – Clerk General 1, on a casual “on-call” basis, up to 24 hours per week.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Invigilate online and paper-based tests.
- Act as reader scribe for students who require this accommodation.
- Ensure supports and services are available to invigilate the testing: scribing/assistive technology/room requirements etc.
- Liaise with the Testing and Transition Coordinator, the Chair, and external clients.
- Review student testing accommodation requirements.
- Liaise with instructors to set up accommodated testing.
- Meet the confidentiality requirements of students.
Qualifications
Required:
- Must have a minimum of a three-year postsecondary diploma or degree. (A copy of educational documents must be submitted with application *** education completed outside of Canada, applicants are required to submit a WES or ICAS with their application).
- Minimum of one-year of relevant work experience with a strong focus on scheduling and customer service.
- Self-directed individual with the ability to balance multiple tasks with frequent interruptions, keen attention to detail, and excellence in customer service.
- Effective communication skills, good judgment, the ability to problem solve.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Commitment to working within a team environment.
Additional Assets/Preferred
- Experience working within a postsecondary environment.
- Experience working with Clockwork.
- Experience with test invigilation.
- Experience working with persons with exceptionalities and various testing accommodation.
