School Summary: TEC Connections Academy Commonwealth Virtual School (TECCA) is a tuition-free virtual public school district that employs over 200 faculty and staff and serves a diverse population of 3,000 students in grades K12 across Massachusetts. TECCA opened for the 201415 school year with approval by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Position and Responsibilities: Working from the office in East Walpole Massachusetts, the Administrative Assistant for the High School will present a positive impression to our students, staff and visitors. This position is responsible for the following tasks: Answer phone calls on a specific High School line and direct appropriately or take messagesFollow up with caretaker phone calls and webmails as appropriate Assist with the organization and facilitation of positive outreach such as gathering information for the school newsletter.
Sending the emails for students of the month (POG) honor roll lettersSchedule caretaker meetings as needed Send SEL follow-up emailsBook SST meetingsSectioning Support for late enrolling students or changes that are made during the school yearRegularly prepare certain school data points for the HS team such as course enrollment counts.Assist in preparing and submitting POs for student events such as prom, graduation student council events) Assist with arranging for art supplies for students in needManage subscriptions, renewalsGather and assist with information for events such as conferences, field trips, off site in person events such as in person PDPrepared and manage certain documentation for the HS admin team such as staff sign in sheets for events or meetings, organize slidesAn additional layer of back up for covering our schools extra F2F homeroomLogging support for the schools extra F2F homeroomPerform other duties as assigned by Supervisor. Shared Responsibilities: Assist during in-person events.Assist with tasks during MCAS timeframes.Assist with tasks during Enrollment timeframes.Assist during Graduation timeframe.Assist with administrative tasks from all departments including student filing, state reporting projects, enrolling/withdrawal tasks, etc.And other school/district-wide duties as needed.Team Expectations: Works closely with other administrative staff and supports other colleagues as needed.Works with sensitive information with discretion to maintain confidentiality and security and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.Ensures that deadlines are met and adapts to changing priorities.Presents a positive and professional image for the District.Requirements: Strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft OS and Microsoft Office programs)Excellent communication skills, both oral and writtenHigh degree of flexibilityDemonstrated ability to work well in fast paced environmentTeam player track recordCitizenship, residency or work visa required
