Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic Staff Recruiter who will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring qualified candidates for various positions at our arts-based childcare center. This includes educators, teaching assistants, administrative staff, and other essential roles. As a Staff Recruiter, you will help build a team of professionals who are not only skilled in childcare but also passionate about integrating the arts into early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with leadership and department managers to identify staffing needs and define role requirements.
- Create engaging and creative job descriptions that highlight the importance of arts-based education.
- Post job openings on various platforms, including job boards, social media, and our company website.
- Source and attract qualified candidates through outreach, job fairs, and networking events.
- Working with universities and their career resource centers.
- Conduct initial screening of applicants and manage interview processes.
- Review resumes, portfolios (for arts-related positions), and applications, and schedule interviews with hiring managers.
- Provide a positive candidate experience by guiding them through the recruitment process.
- Coordinate and facilitate reference checks and background screenings.
- Assist with onboarding processes, including documentation and orientation.
- Track and maintain applicant data using an applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Ensure alignment with our company culture, emphasizing creativity, empathy, and a passion for early childhood education.
- Stay informed on trends in childcare and the arts education field to attract top talent.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Early Childhood Education, Arts Administration, or related field (preferred).
- Previous experience in recruiting, ideally within the education, childcare, or arts sectors.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage candidates at all levels.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment software.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and the value of arts-based learning is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, creative environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a collaborative approach to recruitment.
- Self-motivated and able to stay on task while working remotely.
