Life Enrichment Program Assistant
Job Responsibilities of the Life Enrichment Assistant
- Implementation of daily scheduled activity programs and special events.
- Written and verbal communication regarding resident participation.
- One to one visit with residents, as well as, facilitating large and small group activities.
- Participation in resident assessments, care planning, and care plan team meetings.
- Establishes relationships with residents, families, and community visitors, to foster their support and involvement.
- Demonstrates the ability to apply population specific knowledge of (sub-acute, dementia, pediatrics, and residents with multiple disabilities) to the daily care of the residents. May be asked to participate in care plan and family meetings.
- Demonstrating the Person-Centered Care model, promoting dignity and respect for the residents, families, staff and community.
- Promotes the residents’ rights in the center, provides care and services in a manner that promotes dignity and respect for residents, families, other staff, and community
Qualifications Of The Life Enrichment Program Assistant
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience in the healthcare field required.
- Experience working with geriatric population preferred.
- Prior Life Enrichment / Activity Aide experience in a skilled nursing community is a plus.
