The Opportunity
This leadership role is responsible for driving the strategic vision and execution across Brand, Marketing, Product, Institutional, and Affiliated Distribution (BP&AD). You will develop, refine, and lead a transformational distribution strategy, aligning closely with enterprise goals and ensuring sustainable long-term performance. The position requires strong cross-functional collaboration with teams including Finance, Technology, Legal, Compliance, and Field Partners.

The BP&AD Strategy team is at the forefront of decision-making, responsible for identifying strategic opportunities, leveraging analytics, and delivering actionable insights to strengthen distribution effectiveness and growth. The team’s focus areas include:
- Leading strategy initiatives that guide senior leadership decision-making
- Delivering insights aligned with market and consumer trends
- Partnering across analytics, finance, and technology to shape strategy
- Communicating strategy through impactful narratives and metrics
- Consulting across the business on high-value strategy opportunities

Key Responsibilities
- Drive large-scale strategic initiatives and lead problem-solving efforts
- Serve as a trusted advisor, maintaining broad visibility into business dynamics
- Deliver high-quality insights and recommendations to senior leadership
- Guide the development and execution of BP&AD strategy in alignment with enterprise goals
- Create strategic content and presentations for executives and board members
- Develop and mentor team members to build future strategy leaders
- Collaborate across functional teams to ensure aligned execution
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional experience
- 7+ years in top-tier strategy consulting, with experience leading complex projects
- 3+ years of financial services industry experience, ideally in insurance or wealth management
- Bachelor’s degree from a leading institution
- Proven track record of mentoring and leading high-performing teams
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop data-driven, executive-level communications and presentations
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree (MBA or relevant advanced degree)
- Familiarity with life insurance, annuities, or wealth management
- Experience in affiliated and third-party distribution models
- Strong financial acumen, including understanding of distribution economics
- Expertise in navigating and influencing complex stakeholder groups
- Demonstrated success in executing strategy and leading through change
- Deep understanding of retail financial services, products, and channels
