Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Sr. Controller, the ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and take ownership of managing weekly payroll processes. This role will train in Tewksbury, MA for the first 1-2 weeks and will then sit in Baldwinville, MA full time. We value a self-starter with a positive attitude, strong aptitude, and the ability to adapt quickly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute weekly payroll for 70-100 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain and update employee job classifications and associated compensation ranges.
- Process payroll manually using CF Data, troubleshooting and resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and company policies during payroll processing.
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to gather and verify employee data.
- Provide support for payroll-related inquiries and issues from employees.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the construction industry or similar trades is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, job classifications, and compensation structures.
- Familiarity with CF Data or similar payroll systems preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
