Family owned and operated athletic business in Massachusetts is looking for a dependable, long-term employee to handle all tennis administration responsibilities. This position would include a variety of tennis business and operations responsibilities.
As a member of the MAC staff our Childrens Program Attendant play an integral role in the overall success of our club. Reporting to the Children’s Program director, Child Watch staff are responsible for providing an appropriately safe, caring, and enriching environment for the children participating in The MAC Gymazing and general children’s programming. All Child Watch staff will be responsible for conducting themselves in an appropriate manner, setting an example for children, parents, and co-workers by reflecting The MAC culture of leading dynamic, safe, and creative programming for members and guests.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adhere to policies as stated in The MAC Employee Handbook.
- Acknowledge members and guests by greeting them by name.
- Initiate and maintain positive relationships with children and parents and be comfortable with children & responsive to parent input & concerns.
- Keep a consistent headcount on all children; communicate changes with the Children’s Program Director.
- Maintain accurate documentation of attendance and emergency information on each child.
- Comply with all emergency procedures appropriate to MAC emergency protocol to ensure the safety of the children and staff.
- Maintain all supplies, equipment, and materials; inform the Director when new/additional supplies are needed.
- Always maintain a professional appearance and manner – wear MAC gear.
- Be responsible and familiar with the behaviors and needs of infants, toddlers & children.
- Can take directions & follow through with given assignments - i.e., BE COACHABLE.
- Show the ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
- Be able to stand and sit at various times as required while performing childcare requirements.
- Must pass CPR/AED/1st Aid certification by an approved provider within 1 month from the original date of hire and maintain while employed.
- Verify that all security check-in and check-out procedures are followed by every member and guest of the MAC.
- Answer telephones in a timely, courteous, and positive manner.
- Complete all opening and closing procedures as outlined on daily checklists. Report any discrepancies to the Director.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Manage member/parent concerns and report concerns to Director.
- Uphold safety and Child Protection standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist with birthday parties held at The MAC, ensuring a fun and safe environment for all attendees.
- Support school break programming by actively participating in the planning and execution of activities and events.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Standing for 4 hours or more, sitting, semi-reaching to full-reach overhead; crouching; kneeling; carrying, working in narrow and/or confining spaces; twisting of the waist, shoulders, and legs.
- Lift 25 pounds using proper technique.
- Must have adequate vision to effectively review documents in varied formats i.e., paper and digital.
- Must have adequate hearing to respond to members, parents, and interact with the children.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
- Must be able to work in an environment with high levels of activity and moderate to high noise levels.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.25 - $18.00 per hour

- Afternoon shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed
