As we continue to expand our services, we are seeking a Remote Medical Customer Service Representative to join our team.
Position Overview: We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Medical Customer Service Representative to provide exceptional customer service and support to our patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of medical terminology, and a passion for helping people.
Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly and professionally to patient inquiries, concerns, and requests via phone, email, and chat
- Assist with appointment scheduling and rescheduling for patient appointments
- Answer billing and insurance questions and work with patients to resolve any issues
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure timely and accurate communication with patients and providers
- Provide support to patients navigating the healthcare system and connecting them with necessary resources
- Conduct insurance verifications and obtain prior authorizations as needed
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and company policies
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve and streamline processes to enhance the patient experience
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to handle difficult situations with empathy and professionalism
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in using technology, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes preferred
- Comfortable working remotely and able to maintain a professional and productive work environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
