Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and mission-driven Part-Time Data Analyst to support our conservation and operations teams. In this remote role, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to analyze environmental, operational, and donor-related data, helping us measure impact, improve efficiency, and guide strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Gather, clean, and interpret large datasets from multiple sources including environmental, fundraising, and operational systems
- Create dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborate with program managers, scientists, and fundraising staff to identify data needs and solutions
- Perform statistical analysis and identify trends, patterns, and areas of improvement
- Ensure data integrity and assist in maintaining database systems
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Environmental Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in a data analyst or similar role
- Proficiency in tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or Python/R
- Strong communication and storytelling skills with the ability to present data insights clearly
- Passion for environmental conservation and The Nature Conservancy’s mission
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Preferred:
- Experience working with environmental or nonprofit data
- Knowledge of GIS tools or geospatial analysis
Schedule & Compensation:
- Approximately 15–20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience
