About The Role
ALS TDI is seeking an organized and personable
Events Manager to join our dynamic Events Department. In this role, you will lead the planning and execution of our
Signature Events (such as the annual Tri-State Trek and White Coat Affair Gala) and
Community Third Party Events (approximately 70 annually). Reporting to the Director of Events, you will play a pivotal role in supporting ALS TDI's fundraising efforts and mission. This is a full-time, hybrid position, with 80% remote work and a requirement to be in our Watertown office one day per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate on project management and logistical planning for ALS TDI's Signature Events.
- Support and manage Community Third Party Events, providing guidance and ensuring success.
- Coordinate closely with Marketing, Finance, Development, Lead Management, and IT teams to meet event goals.
- Assist in creating and managing the Events Department's expense budgets.
- Utilize and develop proficiency in fundraising and event software (e.g., Salesforce, RAISE).
- Assist with sponsorship outreach, recruitment, and benefit execution.
- Build and nurture relationships with vendors, sponsors, benefactors, and volunteers.
- Develop and execute new fundraising event concepts.
- Help plan and execute internal company events (e.g., holiday parties, team outings).
- Stay informed on healthcare industry trends impacting fundraising efforts.
- Travel as needed to support events and fulfill job responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in live events, fundraising, nonprofit events, or hospitality.
- Strong organizational skills, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to think critically and remain calm under pressure.
- Commitment to ALS TDI's mission and the ability to convey this passion to stakeholders.
- Strong customer service skills when interacting with donors, sponsors, and volunteers.
- Experience with event planning software and databases is a plus.
- Physical ability to assist with event setup and breakdown, including lifting 25 lbs or more.
