Nuclera is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Supply Chain Manager to join the Operations team. This Supply Chain Manager role reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for Procurement, Logistics, and Warehousing functions across the whole business. The ideal candidate will have deep and broad supply chain experience, with a quality-driven mindset, good eye for detail, and willingness to be hands-on when necessary. The Supply Chain Manager has responsibility for a team based in the United Kingdom, so must be confident in international management and some travel. This role suits someone who is accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment where delivery to tight timelines is essential.
About the role:
- Lead the design and execution of supply chain strategies that support our growth and operational excellence
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure quality, reduce costs and optimize delivery times
- Oversee inventory planning, logistics, and distribution to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with internal teams (ERP, Manufacturing) to optimise supply chain operations
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure business continuity
- Monitor KPIs and report on supply chain performance to leadership
- Work cross functionally to identify suppliers for new components as well as add secondary suppliers to existing components.
Requirements
Essential:
- 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain with 3+ years in a leadership role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to build relationships, collaborate, and negotiate with business partners and suppliers
- A ‘can do’ attitude with flexibility to adapt to the needs of the business
- Experience working with ERP systems (IFS, SAP, etc)
- Strong track record of negotiating supplier contracts to achieve cost savings and high-quality goods
- Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage demand planning processes and optimize inventory levels accordingly
- Ability to analyze complex data, generate actionable insights, and present findings to stakeholders.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of EU imports and customs regulations
- Experience working with IFS
- Fluency in Mandarin
- Experience working in the pharmaceutical industry or life sciences sector
- Certification such as CSCP or Six Sigma
- Advanced degree in Supply Chain Management or other relevant degree or certification (CSCP, Six Sigma)
