Job Summary
The dishwasher and general utility position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dinnerware, glassware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe and sanitary facility. Dishwashers must be safety conscious and in compliance with all laws concerning the safety of others. This position requires a friendly, highly self-motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Able to handle high volume dishwashing
- Must know how to work a commercial dish machine
- Maintain a clean and neat work area.
- AM Dish- responsible for setting up expo, dish, and server dump area trash cans.
- AM Dish- Check all chemicals to make sure they are in the proper area, and also full and ready for the shift.
- AM Dish- Responsible for setting out all sanitation buckets for the line and prep team.
- Listen for dirty dish calls from the line, clean them and return them swiftly.
- PM Dish- Responsible for dumping expo, dish, and server dump area trash cans in the designated trash area.
- PM Dish- Responsible for the floors around the dish, expo, and prep area
- PM Dish- Responsible for the cleaning and breakdown of the dish machine.
- Execute all cleaning tasks that have been outlined to you by the chef team.
- Execute all special cleaning tasks that have been outlined to you by the chef team.
- Do not leave before checking out with the closing chef.
- Your job is not limited to this station, flexibility is a must. The chef will assess where the need is in the kitchen and act accordingly.
Qualifications and Skills
Previous kitchen experience required. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must have the ability to follow directions, be a team player and work well under pressure.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
