Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate specimens to ensure acceptability for testing, adhering to strict quality standards
- Execute a variety of routine and complex technical procedures with precision, guided by departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation to maintain optimal functionality
- Make informed technical decisions to resolve testing challenges effectively
- Prepare, evaluate, and validate new reagents and quality controls
- Deliver accurate and timely test results, ensuring excellence in patient care
- Conduct and document preventive maintenance and quality control checks to maintain compliance and safety standards
- Organize and restock bench supplies to support seamless laboratory operations
- Assist in specimen processing when required, contributing to team efficiency
- Maintain a safe and compliant work environment, always utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology, or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements.
Experience: Minimum 2-4 years in clinical laboratory testing. Blood Bank Experience required.
Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs, including overtime or alternate shifts.
Schedule: M-F 3pm-11:30pm and or Th-Su 10pm-
Projected duration: 6 months + potential for perm
