Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead our operational strategies and oversee the daily functions of our manufacturing sites. The COO will play a pivotal role in aligning our operational objectives with the company’s strategic goals, driving efficiency, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Operational Leadership: Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company’s mission and vision, ensuring efficient and effective manufacturing processes across all sites.
• Site Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of our manufacturing facilities, focusing on optimizing productivity, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Business Development Collaboration: Work closely with the business development team to identify growth opportunities, support client relationships, and ensure that operational capabilities meet market demands.
• Financial Stewardship: Lead budgeting and financial planning processes, monitor operational expenditures, and implement cost-control measures to ensure financial health and profitability.
• Quality Assurance: Establish and uphold rigorous quality assurance protocols, ensuring that all products meet or exceed industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Team Development: Build and lead a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Risk Management: Identify operational risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity and resilience.
• Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates to the CEO and Board of Directors on operational performance, challenges, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
• Professional Experience: A minimum of 10 years in senior operational leadership roles within the CDMO or pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, with at least 5 years in a COO or equivalent position.
• Industry Expertise: In-depth knowledge of small and large molecule manufacturing processes, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop cross-functional teams, drive change, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Financial Acumen: Strong experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and implementing cost-control measures.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Global Perspective: Experience managing operations across multiple regions, with a sensitivity to cultural differences and global market dynamics.
