Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Director of Manufacturing Contract Sourcing to drive our procurement initiatives and secure high-impact manufacturing contracts. In this role, you will develop and execute strategic sourcing plans, lead contract negotiations, and build long-term partnerships with key suppliers across the United States. Your leadership will be critical in optimizing our production capabilities, reducing costs, and ensuring our manufacturing operations remain agile and competitive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sourcing Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies for manufacturing contracts that align with Manu's production and quality standards.
  • Contract Negotiation & Management: Lead high-stakes negotiations and manage contract terms to secure competitive pricing, optimal delivery schedules, and stringent quality benchmarks.
  • Supplier Partnership Development: Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key U.S.-based suppliers and manufacturing partners, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to forecast material needs, resolve supply chain challenges, and drive operational excellence.
  • Market Analysis & Risk Management: Monitor industry trends and market conditions to identify opportunities and proactively mitigate risks within the supply chain.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously refine sourcing processes to enhance operational efficiency, achieve cost savings, and maintain a resilient supply chain.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees or industry certifications (e.g., CPSM, C.P.P.) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract sourcing and procurement within a manufacturing environment, with a proven record in strategic leadership.
  • Demonstrated expertise in high-level contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in interpreting market data to drive informed decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative leadership style.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in innovative, high-growth manufacturing environments across multiple industry sectors.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software.
  • Proven track record of implementing process improvements that result in measurable operational efficiencies and cost reductions.
