Role Summary
The Activity Manager is responsible for the organisation and delivery of a high-quality activity and excursion programme for students, which includes inspiring; training and managing activity leaders to achieve this goal. In addition, they also are responsible for the safe delivery and coordination of all logistics necessary for both onsite and off-site activities.
Our activity managers work very closely with our centre management team, including the senior tutor to ensure that the non academic elements of the programme complement the academic areas and that the overall student experience is to a very high standard.
Our activity managers work 6 days out of 7. This is a residential role and we provide full board accommodation as part of the contract.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all preparation of, and the successful delivery of, the activity, events and excursion programme for the Global Achievers Academy students
Manage, lead, and inspire the activity team to deliver the activity programme to consistently high standards
Maximise student satisfaction by ensuring their excursion and onsite activity experiences exceed their expectations
Ensure the activities operate to the highest standards of relevant Health & Safety and safeguarding policies
Deliver the activity and excursion programme in line with the provided budget
Complete and collate all relevant administration paperwork and documentation relating to activities
To assist with student arrivals and departures at centre as required
To carry out operational and residential duties to meet centre needs, as well as emergency phone cover on a rota basis
Promote and safeguard the welfare of students for who you are responsible and with whom you come into contact and create a positive and safe workplace environment
Essential criteria:
Ability to inspire others to deliver outstanding student experiences
Fluency in English
Excellent organisational and admin skills
Practical working knowledge of MS Office packages including Excel
Desired criteria:
Experience of leading a team and managing staff rotas
Experience of working with young people age 13-17
Experience of working in a residential environment, ideally in a summer school / camp
Experience of working with non-native speakers of English

Training & Induction:
We provide both online and face to face training for all employees. We provide a compulsory staff induction and all employees are required to take our basic Level 1 safeguarding training. Our activity team will also be required to take the English UK Activity Leader Training course, which we provide free of charge.
Working week:
6 days out of 7 (1 day off per week)
Organisational Compliance:
The job holder will be expected to operate in accordance with the company’s Code of Conduct, and any local policies and operating procedures relating to academic, welfare and safeguarding matters.
Employees are required to cooperate fully with all arrangements in place related to Health and Safety which include implementation and compliance with control measures resultant from risk assessments and engagement with, and completion of, any relevant Health and Safety training.
