Reporting to the Chief of Finance and Strategy, the Special Projects Manager will work closely with Bridge Boston’s leaders to develop and implement system improvements in order to help Bridge Boston achieve its goals related to student achievement and success. For SY25-26, the Special Projects Manager will lead at least one specific systems improvement projects related to student recruitment and enrollment. In addition, the Special Projects Manager will work closely with the Chief of Finance and Strategy and the Executive Director in implementing Bridge Boston’s strategic plan.
Specifically, the Special Projects Manager will be responsible for:
Leading Key Systems Improvement Projects:
Collaborate with different leaders and staff members at Bridge Boston to identify what improvements are needed or what problems need to be solved across a variety of school systems, including related to student enrollment and recruitment in SY25-26
Develop and refine improved systems to address these problems
Document the new or improved systems and support their implementation
Supporting Implementation of the Bridge Boston Strategic Plan:
Serve as the project manager supporting implementation of the Strategic Plan
Track progress against key yearly milestones in the Strategic Plan
Develop materials to keep key stakeholders, including staff, families and Board members, engaged and informed about the strategic plan
Partner with the Chief of Finance and Strategy and the Executive Director to navigate challenges and opportunities arising from the strategic plan implementation
Special Projects:
Provide support on other projects related to school and systems improvement in partnership with members of the Bridge Boston Executive Leadership Team
Perform other tasks as determined by the Executive Director or Chief of Finance & Strategy
Qualifications
BA or BS required
Experience teaching or working in a school setting preferred; stronger preference given to those who have experience working in a charter school
Experience leading or managing projects preferred
Have a “self-starter” and team player attitude
Ability to communicate effectively with different audiences and collaborate as needed with teachers and other staff members
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Adaptive, flexible, and resourceful problem solver
Excited about regularly receiving feedback and have a growth mindset
Strong work ethic and sense of urgency
