Job Title: UX/UI Designer

Client Industry: Manufacturing

Location: Wilmington, MA (Remote EST)

Term: 12 Months (possible FTE conversion)

Pay Rate: $55/hr W2

P Osition Overview

We are seeking a Mid-Level UI/UX Designer who is passionate about user-centered design and thrives in an independent role. As the sole UI/UX expert in the business unit, you'll collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to create seamless and visually appealing user experiences for our products. The products include both windows desktop system control software and web-based applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and own the entire UI/UX design process, from research to wireframes to final designs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product managers, developers, applications engineers, customers) to gather requirements and translate them into user-centric designs.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.
  • Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and mockups to communicate design ideas effectively.
  • Work independently to manage priorities, timelines, and deliverables while meeting project deadlines.
  • Iterate on designs based on feedback.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of professional UI/UX design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing both UX thinking and high-quality UI design.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, usability, and accessibility standards.
  • Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into intuitive and elegant design solutions.
  • Strong visual design skills with attention to detail and consistency.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to non-design stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently without extensive oversight.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Familiarity with machine learning/AI development and deployment pipeline
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing.
