What You’ll Do

The Director of FP&A will be responsible for analyzing financial results, data, and trends to provide accurate and timely financial projections, opportunities, and recommendations to business unit leaders for decision-making purposes. Working closely with our operational business partners, your focus will be to provide strategic financial insights gathered from a variety of sources including, HMI, Netsuite, Excel, formulating assumptions and making recommendations that will have a positive impact on Divert’s current and future growth:

Financial Planning And Forecasting

  • Oversee Divert's quarterly and annual financial forecast and budget process and rolling forecasts in collaboration with operational department heads and senior leadership.
  • Participate in the development of long-term business projections (5+ years)
  • Drive the continuous improvement of forecasting methodologies to increase accuracy and strategic alignment.

Performance Analysis And Reporting

  • Analyze financial data by collecting, monitoring, and creating financial models with accompanying narrative for decision support
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), financial metrics, and operational performance, identifying trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for senior management, board meetings, and other stakeholders, highlighting financial performance, variances, and action plans.

Stakeholder Alignment & Strategic Support

  • Collaborate with operational and functional teams to understand business requirements for the evaluation & financial analysis of capex projects, operational and strategic improvement
  • Project development viability of future processing plants
  • Customer success teams to assist with revenue forecasting
  • Operations and logistics teams to support Divert’s financial objectives
  • Support engineering team to create long-term capital spend projections

Financial Modeling And Analysis

  • Build and maintain complex financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations on pricing strategies, cost management, and resource allocation.
  • Conduct sensitivity analysis and scenario modeling to evaluate the financial impact of strategic decisions and potential risks.

ELT Support

  • Collaborate with the finance leadership team and CEO to provide transparency and to help develop the financial roadmap for Divert’s rapid growth strategy
  • Improve financial status by analyzing monthly results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending action plans to management
  • Analyze data and benchmark performance against industry standards
  • Ensure team members are equipped with the tools, training, and support needed to deliver high-quality financial analysis and reporting.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment on financial goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) across the organization.

Process Improvement And System Optimization

  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, tools, and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial planning and analysis.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to optimize financial systems and integrate new technologies that enhance financial reporting and analysis capabilities.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in spreadsheets, MS Office, financial software applications
  • Excellent presentation, reporting, and communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling techniques
  • Strong analytical and data mining skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational ability
