Description
The Inventory & Production Planner will play a key role in optimizing inventory levels and production schedules to meet operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, monitoring inventory levels, managing production work orders and continuously improving processes. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate inventory records, timely production schedules and effective communication with internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Generate, schedule and manage work orders ensuring they are accurately maintained and completed.
Monitor and track the availability of materials and resources ensuring alignment with production timelines.
Work closely with Inventory Specialists to manage and optimize inventory levels.
Lead weekly production meetings to review the schedule, inventory and resource availability.
Conduct inventory analysis, reconcile discrepancies and maintain accurate inventory records.
Coordinate with engineering, quality and production to resolve any issues that may impact the schedule or resource availability.
Review and analyze demand forecasts to ensure material and resource availability aligns with production needs.
Work closely with buyers to ensure timely procurement of materials and components to meet production requirements.
Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed based on inventory levels and demand forecasts.
Participate in SIOP meetings to provide critical data and analysis to stakeholders.
Ensure proper transactions are executed for all inventory and production activities.
Identify opportunities for process improvement in inventory and production planning.
Regularly report on inventory status, work order progress and any discrepancies or issues.
Serve as a liaison between Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales and Field reps to ensure alignment on production schedules and material availability.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
3+ years of experience in inventory management or production planning in a manufacturing environment.
Medical device manufacturing experience is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with some knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
Ability to communicate and work effectively with cross functional teams, including production, engineering, quality and supply chain.
Comfortable in a fast paced environment and can handle changes and shifting priorities.
Experience with ERP software desired, Netsuite preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Highly organized, able to prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, with strong attention to detail
