About the Firm


We are currently working with a Boston-based buyout fund that is seeking to add an associate to its private equity team. Known for its dynamic and innovative approach, the firm has built a robust portfolio over the past five years. The team has successfully closed numerous investments, demonstrating a strong track record in the lower middle market. With a second fund that has already started to make significant strides, the firm continues to focus on transformative opportunities in the software and technology sectors.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of investments in lower middle market companies, particularly those involved in application and infrastructure software.
  • Engage in all phases of the investing process, including deal execution and portfolio management.
  • Provide strategic counsel on technical and operational matters.
  • Act as a representative of the firm, maintaining strong relationships with CEOs and executives.
  • Participate in the due diligence process, draft transaction documents, and negotiate key terms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transaction execution.


Qualifications

  • 1.5–3 years of experience in Investment Banking or Private Equity.
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional academic credentials with demonstrated intellectual curiosity.
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a small, dynamic team managing diverse responsibilities.
