Job Description:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Clinical Administrative Assistant. This is a remote or office-based position, depending on the candidate's preference. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced medical or office setting, excellent communication skills, and a strong attention to detail.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Receive and route calls and inquiries from clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Schedule appointments for clients and maintain the appointment calendar.
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, billing, and filing.
- Coordinate with the clinical team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Assist with processing insurance paperwork and verifying insurance coverage.
- Collect and document patient information and update electronic health records.
- Communicate with insurance companies and complete necessary forms and authorizations.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and their families, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and compassion.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in a medical or office environment.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health records.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures is a plus.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred, but not required.
