INNOVATION STRATEGIST
ROLE SUMMARY:
The
Innovation Strategist is responsible for leading the research and development of deep insights into the food and beverage CPG industries and converting these insights into actionable strategies that maximize innovation and impact across our organization and partner organizations. This role will work closely with the CEO to support strategic partnerships. It will have a high impact across multiple strategic projects, requiring high-level strategic thinking and excellent communication skills.
This is a full-time role with on-site requirements in Boston, MA.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Global Insight Collection & Analysis: Lead the collection, screening, analysis, and dissemination of insights and trends across the F&B industry globally.
- Strategy Development: Drive the translation of these insights into a comprehensive strategy that can be effectively communicated to and implemented by a larger supporting team.
- Consumer Testing Ownership: Be the subject matter expert for consumer testing including setting up parameters, recruiting, and conducting the consumer testing in person or via IHUTs.
- Innovation Leadership: Lead insight and strategy initiatives that directly support the needs of the R&D innovation team and business development activities.
- CEO Collaboration & Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with the CEO to support and enhance strategic partnerships, ensuring insights align with broader organizational goals.
KEY ACTIVITIES:
- Engage directly with clients, presenting insights and strategies to foster strong relationships and drive partnership success.
- Conduct stakeholder and consumer interviews and desktop and market research to gather relevant data and insights.
- Create and deliver digital content that communicates insights and strategies internally, to partners, and to the public.
- Synthesize collected insights into trends, signals, and opportunities that drive strategic decision-making.
- Perform market sizing and quantify opportunities to provide a clear understanding of potential impacts and returns.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Market Research, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in analytics or insights, (F&B industry experience preferred)
- Strong expertise in data visualization to tell stories and to deliver actionable insights.
- Experience in using syndicated POS data to create novel insights.
- Experience with market research methodologies, trend analysis, and forecasting models (SPINS AttLab platform preferred)
- Solid understanding of the food and beverage landscape, including consumer behavior, category dynamics, and competitive intelligence.
