Position: Senior Construction Scheduler
Location: Remote (periodic travel to project sites will be required)
Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Construction Project Scheduler to join our proven federal practice to support our government agency client in the eastern United States. The successful candidate will be a qualified certified professional in this field with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in construction project scheduling with government and/or commercial contracts, utilizing P6. The selected candidate will have experience with Work Breakdown Structures, Critical Path Method, Delay Claims and Time Impact Analysis (TIA) and Cost Loading Methods. Periodic travel will be required to project sites each month - typically 1 week per month.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize scheduling software (P6 or Microsoft Projects) to develop and maintain project schedules
- Interact with key stakeholders including Program and Project Management. Take meeting minutes and take action on meeting agenda items
- Develop and review Baseline schedules for construction projects in compliance with project specifications and owner requirements
- Develop and review monthly progress schedule updates for construction projects in compliance with project specifications and owner requirements
- Develop and review Time Impact Analysis and delay claims
- Estimate contract time and determination for multiple projects
- Establish and manage risk associated with the project
Required:
- B.Sc. degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Science, or Architecture and 10 plus years’ scheduling experience on large, complex, multi-million-dollar, government sponsored construction projects or equivalent work experience
- Project scheduling experience and proficiency with Primavera P6
- Proficiency with Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling methodology and concepts
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
- Familiarity with Standard Earned Value Management principles for large projects
- A current AACE International's Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) certification isstronglydesired
- Due to the nature of ou8r client's work and staffing requirements, United States citizenship isa required for this role
