Join us as a Clinical QA Specialist and play a crucial role in ensuring representation of a clinical perspective and that our medical device software meets the highest standards as part of our growing Clinical QA team. You'll design and execute innovative test strategies, meticulously document defects, and collaborate with top-tier software development and SQA teams to resolve issues. You'll also craft comprehensive testing plans and protocols, ensuring thorough reporting and compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices. Key Responsibilities
- Act as a quality advocate within agile/scrum teams to ensure standards as necessary throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Develop and implement clinical test design strategies and procedures with Software Quality Assurance to verify clinical performance and correctness.
- Utilize various software testing methodologies (scripted, exploratory, ad hoc etc.) to identify the decision points in the software.
- Maintain detailed records of testing processes, results, and quality assurance activities.
- Identify and document defects, inconsistencies, and vulnerabilities.
- Troubleshoot issues, assess potential risks and develop mitigation strategies with Software Quality, Development and Clinical teams.
- Collaborate with the Regulatory team to ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for quality processes as well as product improvements based on test results and clinical needs.
Education and Qualifications:
- Degree in Radiology Technology, Computer Science, Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent.
- 2+ years of clinical QA experience, or software testing experience with a focus on clinical or healthcare-related software.
- Prior experience with functional testing.
- Strong experience using Jira.
- Prior experience collaborating with software development and software QA teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Adaptable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving priorities.
- Prior experience working with medical imaging (CTA), medical devices or in a regulated industry preferred.
- Knowledge of cardiovascular disease and anatomy preferred.
