Summary

As a Caregiver at PJ Reindeer, you will play a vital role in delivering one-on-one support to our client, enhancing her quality of life through dedicated care and companionship. This position is essential in fostering a nurturing environment that promotes independence and joy.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and support tailored to the individual’s needs.
Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
Monitor health conditions and report any changes to the appropriate parties.
Engage in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
Administer first aid as necessary and maintain a safe living environment.
Support the client in developing skills for independence and self-care.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and any observations made during shifts.

Qualifications

Experience in patient care or caregiving, particularly with individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism.
Strong understanding of first aid practices and emergency response protocols.
Ability to provide direct support while maintaining dignity and respect for the individual.
Excellent observational skills to monitor health and behavior effectively.
Compassionate nature with a strong commitment to enhancing the client's quality of life.
Physical ability to assist with mobility and perform tasks that may require heavy lifting.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 24 per week

Schedule:

10 hour shift
12 hour shift
Evening shift
Overnight shift
Weekends as needed
